Projekt+Blend Rewind Cafe
Projekt+Blend Rewind Cafe has become Maple Ridge’s go-to for thoughtfully roasted coffee and relaxed neighbourhood hangouts, known for its single-origin pour-overs and vinyl record mornings. Open since 2018, the cafe occupies a sunny 1,200 square foot space on the high street, with a long wooden bar where baristas pull shots on a La Marzocco Linea PB and a cosy back room set up for small community events.
On the menu you’ll find more than espresso and lattes. They roast in-house on a 5 kg Diedrich, offering three rotating single-origin beans and a year-round signature blend called Rewind. Try the Honduras honey-processed pour-over, the seasonal maple-cinnamon cortado, or a cold brew steeped for 18 hours. Pastries arrive daily from a local baker, including sourdough croissants and vegan banana bread. They also stock loose-leaf teas, non-dairy milk options, and retail bags of freshly roasted beans in 250 g and 1 kg sizes.
The team is small but experienced, led by owner and head roaster Maya Singh, who is SCA Foundation-certified in barista skills and roasting. Baristas walk you through flavour notes, recommend brewing methods, and will even show you how to dial in the grind for your Chemex at home. Service is bright and unhurried, with regulars appreciating quick table service during the morning rush and quieter afternoons ideal for remote work, where outlets and stable Wi-Fi are standard.
Projekt+Blend cares about Maple Ridge beyond coffee. They host a monthly vinyl swap, partner with the community garden for compost collection, and donate unsold pastries to a local shelter every Friday. People choose them for serious coffee without pretension, a friendly staff who remember your order, and a space that feels like a living room. Call 672-227-1881 to ask about bean availability or to book the back room for up to 20 people.
